Tuesday night we celebrated Jason’s b-day during our poker game. Niki and Tristan came up with some very cool treats and hats. Tuesdays is always a fun a night and more fun when birthdays are the theme because we know we’re gonna get some sort of treat.

I caught the end of ‘The Persuit of Happiness’ on tv over the weekend. I wrote about this movie before but whatever.
That ending is pretty cool. Will Smith does a great job of expressing that moment of happiness/accomplishment/pride in one swift move that you can’t help but tear up with him.
I hope to one day reach that moment of accomplishment and I hope I’m just as grateful and graceful if and when that day comes. My guess is that this feeling is something similar to what a new bride must feel like walking down that aisle, or what a groom may feel like watching his bride walk down the aisle, or what new parents must feel like holding their child for the first time.
I think most people have big, medium, and tiny goals for themselves and I’m no different. It’s what keeps me going and what keeps me having fun day to day: The Persuit of Happiness.

A while back I heard someone said I always look mad or angry. I felt horrible at hearing this because I would hate for anyone to think I’m not approachable. So I’ve tried to make a conscious effort to smile more, especially when I know I’m enjoying the moment at hand.
I have an uncle that always looks like something is bothering him and I used to tease him about it. Most of the time he was not angry at all, it was just that look he had. So I guess I have a little of that trait…?
Either way, I apologize if I ever came across that way to you. Feel free to help me out if you ever catch me looking ‘angry’ or ‘mad’ and ask me to smile, because more often than not I bet that’s how I’m really feeling; Happy.

Lotto time!
This is the part of my blog where I pick an entry in my phone or email list by using the most recent Lottery numbers and say something nice about them. Only now I’ve decided to add Facebook to the mix! It only seemed right since I don’t have personal contact for many of my friends.
So let’s see, the latest lotto numbers were: 18-19-24-34-40-49
OK, let’s do this: Take the first set, which is 18, then add them to make 9. Next, assign the number to a letter of the alphabet, which would be…”I”. Ok, next, I’ll go the first name that starts with “I” in my friend list on Facebook, then I will take the second set, 19, add those to 10, then count down 10 names from the first “I” and I come with…..Jaime Landolfi.
Yay! I’ve known Jamie for a while via the Improv community. She’s a super sweet person that is fun to hang with.
Last year, one of my pups hurt his leg, and the vet visit and diagnosis didn’t look good, cost wise.
Since I knew Jaime works with animals, I asked if she would mind coming over to take a look at my little one and see if she had any advice/help she could offer.
Jaime was super cool about this and went a little out of her way to make this visit happen. She did her thing, suggested this, said that, and I’m happy to say my pup didn’t need surgery and is now back his normal happy self. I thought that was super nice and cool of her to do and I can’t thank her enough.
I’m very happy to have her as a friend, but even more so because of her kindness and help.
Jaime, thank you for being my friend.
